MTG Pg 1
This week we welcomed the RotaKids Clubs we sponsor at JBE (Jensen Beach Elementary for the Abbreviationally challenged). K The 1st & 2nd place winniners from Rks G3 (RotaKids Grade 3) and Rks G4/5 read us their winning essays. 2nd place winners received a gift wrapped fresh crisp $10.00 bill and the two 1st place winners received a gift wrapped $25.00 gift certificate. I think we were quite impressed with the thoughts expressed by these young girls and boys. The 3rd grade essay topic was, “What It Means To Be A RotaKid.” The grade 4/5 topic was, “How My Membership In RotaKids Has Helped ME To Be A Better Citizen.” We have some really fine young people growing up in our community.
Then, ignoring the age old theatrical adage, “Never try to follow Kids or an animal act,” Dr Wes Boughner took center stage to tell us about the Peace Program. D6930 is working to have 75% of our clubs qualify as D6930 World Peace Community Rotary Clubs. This designation requires a club to complete two Peace Projects. Wes gave us each a peace Project brochure which lists some 20 potential Peace Projects. In your editors opinion, One that he left out is sponsoring an inbound Youth Exchange Student on the long term program.

Second Place, Grade 3
Second Place Grade 4/5
1st Place Grade 4/5
1st Place Grade 3
Congratulations to all four of you. You each did a wonderful job on your essays and you certainly impressed the members of the Rotary Club. WAY TO GO ROTAKIDS!
